Health Care delivers the highest ROE among sectors globally—above 20%. Profitability is lowest in the Energy sector due to low oil price. Info Tech is paying out the least in dividend—Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR) below 30%.
Energy is still most expensive on PE due to low earnings. Consumer Staples are most expensive on PB in line with high ROE. Health Care has the highest ROE, but is cheaper on PB than Consumer Staples.
Earnings in the World are expected to see double-digit growth in 2017 and the Energy sector is expected to see a rebound in 2017. Energy and Financials had the best 2W price performance—up more than 3%.
Gearing has come down in the Materials sector compared to 2015. In the past 1Y Energy has been most volatile and Consumer Staples least. Utilities, Health Care and Consumer Staples have been least volatile in past 3M.
