Background: Star Petroleum Refining Public Company Limited was founded in 1992 by Chevron South Asia Holdings and PTT PCL (PTT TB). PTT sold its last shares in SPRC in 2017. It is Thailand’s fifth-largest refinery with a total capacity of 175,000 barrels/day. It is also one of Thailand’s largest gasoline producers, accounting for a third of the country’s gasoline consumption.
